'Pandit Raghunath Murmu is the creator of Ol Chiki Script in which every pictorial depicts a picture or an object. Pt Raghunath Murmu wrote dramas to let Santali language and literature flourish. What made his works special were the nuances and originality. Along with it, the female characters of his plays were empowered women. Today Santali is one of the most spoken language. Santali script was required because certain Santali sounds cannot be written in any script other than Santali. The need of the hour is to teach children in their mother tongue and this applies to Santali language too. Bidu Chandan and Kherwal Bir are just a few of the masterpieces written by Pandit Raghunath Murmu among many. Pandit Raghunath Murmu will always be remembered as the creator of Ol Chiki Script, poet, teacher, dramatist and a revolutionary personality.'
